How to Use the Date Shift Tool and Where It Helps

It supports not only normal date calculations, but also business-day-based shift calculations that exclude selected weekdays and holidays.

Working backward from delivery dates and shipping dates

Useful for working backward from deadlines, such as When is 10 days before the delivery date? You can calculate an accurate preparation period that excludes weekends and holidays.

Business-day-based due date calculations

Ideal for schedule management based on actual working days that skip weekends and holidays, such as 5 business days later or 20 business days earlier.

Checking application and renewal deadlines

You can quickly check dates that absolutely must not be missed, such as 30 days before a contract renewal or an application deadline for a public institution.

Standardizing operational workflows

Anyone can calculate dates such as expected payment dates and confirmation deadlines under the same conditions, helping to standardize internal operations that tend to become person dependent.

A practical date calculation tool that can exclude weekends and holidays

It does more than simply add or subtract dates. On a single screen, you can complete business-day-based calculations that exclude weekends, holidays, or specific weekdays. Make deadline calculations for business work more accurate and faster.

Forward and backward shift calculations

Supports not only calculations for a certain number of days later, but also for a certain number of days earlier. It meets both forward-counting and backward-counting needs.

Flexible exclusion settings

In addition to weekends and holidays, specific weekdays can also be excluded. You can calculate according to the actual operating days of your workplace.

Listing the dates passed through

You can copy the list of dates up to the calculation result with one click. It is convenient for transferring to Excel and for sharing.

Supports holiday data for countries and regions around the world

Business day calculations can take into account major holiday data for each country and region. It also helps you smoothly confirm delivery dates with overseas offices and manage schedules for global projects.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can I calculate by treating specific weekdays, not just weekends, as days off?
A. Yes, you can. Because you can freely exclude each weekday from Monday to Sunday with checkboxes, you can calculate according to the regular closing days of a store or similar schedule.
Q. Is holiday data updated automatically?
A. Yes. Because the latest holiday data is retrieved from the Google Calendar API, it also supports substitute holidays and holiday changes caused by legal revisions.
Q. When calculating 3 days before, is the base date included?
A. The base date, meaning the start date, is treated as day 0. For example, 1 day after 4/28 is 4/29.
Q. Is the content I entered saved?
A. Yes. The input data is stored only in your browser by using localStorage. It is not saved on the server side.

About Holiday Data

The holiday data used by this tool is obtained from Google Calendar API holiday calendars. Because the content and update timing depend on Google public calendars and the public announcements of each country and region, this site cannot guarantee the completeness, timeliness, or accuracy of the data, and cannot accept responsibility for any damages or other losses arising from the use of that data.

  • The country and region select box displays only the countries and regions for which holiday data retrieval is currently supported by the data source.
  • Holiday determination follows the official data provided by Google Calendar. For regions where data is not provided, or for years that have not yet been announced, calculations excluding holidays cannot be performed.
  • The available range for future and past years, as well as names and counts, differ by country and region and may change due to specification changes or changes in published content on the Google side.
